Have you found yourself feeling like you just can't find your place, voice, or make space for yourself despite working hard? Have comments and micro aggressions left you feeling like you are at a loss for your next steps? Building a space where your unique identity is centered and prioritized is where our work begins. Dr. Floyd's work is primarily with people who want to reduce their depression or anxiety, improve relationships with family or peers, process racial and sexual trauma, and find more authentic ways to express their identity. I use a person-centered and culturally-sensitive approach to help create a welcoming and gentle space for individuals to process their thoughts and feelings and to become their best selves. When working with individuals, I acknowledge everyone comes from different walks of life. Building a collaborative approach is necessary for progress to take place. Remember, you are the expert on yourself.

I specialize in working with adults and adolescents across a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, self-confidence/self-esteem, career challenges, coping with life changes, and LGBTQ-related issues. I am a Jungian analyst and a clinical psychologist. I do psychotherapy with adults who have anxiety, depression, relationship problems or problems of self-acceptance. As a Jungian analyst, I work with adults who want to further their self-understanding, and possibly work on dreams, spirituality and find more fulfillment in their lives and relationships. I received Jungian training in Zurich and Boston, focusing on dream analysis, symbolic thought and understanding of complexes, archetypes and individuation. I have been trained in mindfulness, DBT, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I am also an anthropologist. I did fieldwork in Aboriginal Australia and in a psychiatric hospital in Denmark. This experience has given me an appreciation for a person-centered, holistic, and culturally-sensitive approach to mental health.
